Afrotonic and students perform african drum and dance at Afrocentrix flyby night club january 30 2015

This amazing gig was a great opportunity to show off the grooves that students learnt, and work towards a fantastic goal! =) It will hopefully now be a yearly event, and it was so inspiring that we're going to have more student performance(s) ASAP - stay tuned! =)

The gig was on Friday 30th January 2015 at the Flyby Nightclub in Freo. One of the most iconic, awesome venues is on the verge of closing down in 2015 due to our HORRIBLE GOVERMENT CUTS - and WE got to perform there at least one last time! Please do keep going to events there and supporting this tremendous venue...

It was for a beautiful occasion also - All proceeds went to Aylee's "Goodbye Lyme" fundraising page initiative, and it was AMAZING!!! =)

It brought together some of the most explosive acts in WA to celebrate the contribution of "Afrocentric music" from around the globe in a party of EPICLY FUNKY PROPORTIONS! Check out some pix and vids from the various dances we performed below, and follow the links to the other performers that night:
